What is the Zoning Commission?
The Boston Zoning Commission (BZC) is an appointed body that maintains and updates Boston's zoning code. The BZC meets monthly to consider petitions to change the Code through adopting map and text changes or applications for special zoning designations such as Planned Development Areas (PDAs) and Institutional Master Plans (IMPs).
Participating in Hearings
Zoning Commission meetings are public hearings, meaning the public can participate in hearings by offering written comments ahead of time or by attending Zoom meetings and verbally offering public comment. Written comments can be submitted by email to [email protected] or by post to 1 City Hall Square, 9th Floor, Boston, MA 02201.
Hearings are held on a Wednesday of each month. You can register Zoom hearings and view hearing agendas by clicking on the hearing dates.
