Roxbury Strategic Master Plan Oversight Committee Meeting, Roxbury Monday, October 3, 2011, 6:00 pm - 7:45 pm Dudley Branch Library, 65 Warren Street, Roxbury The Roxbury Strategic Master Plan Oversight Committee is a 15-member citizen group appointed by the Mayor that meets monthly to assist in reviewing development plans for publicly owned parcels in Roxbury.  The general public is welcome at the meeting, but time for public comments will be limited. Other Roxbury planning studies and developments The Savio, 94 Horace Street, East Boston Monday, October 3, 2011, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Salesian Boys, 150 Byron Street, East Boston In response to initial project concerns, amended renovation plans for Dom Savio High School will be presented.  The plan for the building at 94 Horace Street proposes a rehab to create 21-condo residences and a landscaped parking lot on the 10,000 square foot lot across the street. Other East Boston planning studies and developments Farming Proposals for 23-29 Tucker Street, Dorchester Tuesday, October 4, 6:45 pm Great Hall, 6 Norfolk St, Dorchester The community will be asked to review farming proposals submitted for city-owned vacant lots at 23-29 Tucker Street. Working with the Mayor’s Office, BRA, and the Department of Neighborhood Development (DND), DND solicited a Request for Proposals (RFP) for three vacant city owned Dorchester parcels in July.  A part of this pilot project will also involve establishing a new Urban Agriculture Overlay District to allow the cultivation of fruits and vegetables on these properties.
