Description:

On October 28, 2021, the BPDA received one proposal from Asian Community Development Corporation, in response to its Request for Proposals for the long term ground lease of BPDA Parcel R-1, in the South Cove Urban Renewal Area. This approximately 18,714 square feet site, was offered for the development of a mixed-use project consisting of a high percentage of affordable housing, along with community space with a potential use as a new home of the Chinatown branch library. At this virtual community meeting via Zoom, the development team will present its proposed project to the community. A 2.5 week comment period will follow, during which time community members can provide feedback to the BPDA regarding if the BPDA, the Project Review Committee and the community should proceed with working with this developer on their proposed R-1 project.
