Celebrate July 4th in Boston!

Join Mayor Menino and the City of Boston for a week long celebration of independence!
  • Commemorate the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812 with a visit to the Tall Ships Saturday, June 30 - Thursday, July 5.
  • Don't miss the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular on Tuesday, July 3rd and Wednesday, July 4th. Concerts on both nights feature Boston Pops conductor Conductor Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra, along with special guests, at DCR's historic Hatch Shell on the Esplanade.  On the 4th of July don't miss one of the nation's best fireworks display on the Charles River.
  • Boston Harborfest 2012 is now in its 31st year and runs through Wednesday, July 4th. The festival strives to honor and remember the past, celebrate the present, and educate the future with reenactments, concerts, historical tours and much, much more including Chowderfest and a party on City Hall Plaza.
