Mayor Thomas M. Menino, Boston Public School officials joined WriteBoston staff and teens on April 7, 2010 for an evening celebrating WriteBoston’s work to promote and improve writing in Boston Public Schools.

WriteBoston’s fourth annual Pros&Conversation fundraiser took place at the Boston Athenaeum, and featured authors Ellen Goodman, Richard Hoffman, Elinor Lipman, Bill Littlefield, Raquel Ortiz, and Tom Perrotta as guests of honor. Budding teenage journalists  kept authors in the hot seat while engaging them in a lively Q& A session about the craft of writing. WriteBoston is a program of the Boston Redevelopment Authority's Jobs and Community Services Division.
