Request for Proposals for the Redevelopment of the Austin Street Parking Lots

The purpose of this Request for Proposals ("RFP") is to solicit proposals for the redevelopment and long-term ground lease of the Austin Street Parking Lots owned by the Boston Redevelopment Authority ("BRA") doing business as the Boston Planning & Development Agency ("BPDA"). The Austin Street Parking Lots include Parcel P-15b Parcel ID 0203964000 known as 0 Rutherford Ave, and Parcel ID 0203963050, known as 0 Austin Street ("Property"). The Property is located in the neighborhood of Charlestown, Urban Renewal Area, Project No. Mass. R-55. The BPDA seeks to convey the Property to allow mixed-use development that, in conformance with PLAN: Charlestown, will bring a mix of housing, with an emphasis on affordability, to the Charlestown area along with community-driven ground floor activation and open space. Proposals will be subject to review and approval by the BPDA, the Mayor's Office of Housing, and the City of Boston, including a review of applicable planning and zoning controls, and the development objectives and guidelines described herein. Proponents must register when downloading the RFP to ensure they receive any addendum. Proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope and labeled "Austin Street Parking Lots RFP Submission" no later than Monday, July 10th, 2023 at 12:00 pm (noon).
