The purpose of this Request for Proposals ("RFP") is to solicit proposals for the redevelopment and ground lease of one parcel owned by the Boston Redevelopment Authority (“BRA”) doing business as the Boston Planning & Development Agency (“the BPDA”). The parcel consists of approximately 75,000 square feet of land with an approximately 60,000 square feet existing building in the Historic Monument Area of the Charlestown Navy Yard within the Charlestown Urban Renewal Area,
Project No. Mass R-55, known as Chain Forge (Building 105) (the "Property").
The BPDA seeks to convey the Property for the construction of residential, hotel, institutional, retail, or commercial uses, as well as civic and cultural facilities, while preserving the existing building.
