Director Brian Golden receives Belfast Homecoming Ambassador Medal

Congratulations to Director Brian Golden for receiving The Belfast Homecoming Ambassador Medal! 
 
2018 is the inaugural year of the award, recognizing 50 outstanding individuals who are helping to build Belfast. The 50 recipients are members of Belfast’s global family who have gone the extra mile for the capital city of Northern Ireland and local heroes who are building international bridges to the diaspora.
 
The award ceremony took place during this year's Belfast International Homecoming, an annual business and investment conference that showcases opportunities for commercial and cultural partnership between Belfast and its international diaspora. The conference provides the city with a global venue to promote its goal of advancing peace and prosperity by promoting access to entrepreneurism, dynamism in public policy, and active stewardship of economic development. Director Golden participated in this year’s conference on behalf of the City of Boston and in recognition of its sister city relationship with Belfast. The sister city relationship between Boston and Belfast was established in May of 2014 by Mayor Walsh and Belfast’s Lord Mayor Máirtín Ó Muilleoir.

Brian was awarded his medal at the Belfast International Homecoming 2018 ceremony on November 30.
