Agency Personnel Changes

Mar 10, 2014

As you may have heard, the BRA made several personnel changes on Friday, March 7, 2014. These changes were part of a comprehensive, ongoing internal performance review of the agency's policies and procedures to better align the agency with Mayor Walsh's overall economic development agenda.

As part of this process, the BRA's Business Development Division was identified as no longer critical to the BRA's mission and dismantled. However, both the BRA and the City of Boston are available to assist Boston businesses throughout this transitional period.

Business owners who were previously working with the BRA's Business Development Division should contact Andrew Grace, Deputy Director for Business Development, for further assistance and next steps.

Businesses looking to begin working with the City on permitting, licensing, access to capital, and other issues are encouraged to call the City's 24-hour number, (617) 635-4500, for assistance or view the Department of Neighborhood Development's small business pages. As the City's new Economic Development Division under John F. Barros is constructed, new resources and structure for accessing those resources will become available.
