Our friends across the pond lost out when Victoria Donnelly, age 32, moved to Boston to get her Master’s Degree in Journalism.  After completing her studies, Victoria loved Boston so much she decided to stick around for awhile… but not to be a journalist. Out of Victoria’s passion for adventure (she wanted to be an astronaut when she grew up) and her affinity towards baked goods, a laboratory of sweetness was born.  Cakeology, Victoria’s flagship cupcake shop, opened in 2011 smack dab in the middle of the Downtown Crossing neighborhood of Boston. An instant hit, Victoria is expanding to open a new retail shop on Washington Street.  Boston has long history of attracting innovators and Victoria Donnelly is no exception, her inventions just tend to taste good, really good (Victoria won cupcake wars not once by twice!).  Cakeology’s new location on Washington Street opens this fall, so stop by and say hi to this ONEin3 Bostonian doing big things.
