What’s hanging in the hall?

Jan 24, 2013

Check out the hallway at the BRA. Teens from Artists for Humanity (AFH) and artists from the Veronica B. Smith Senior Center are displaying their latest artwork. Last summer, the BRA gave 160 AFH teens their first boat ride and their first trip to the Harbor Islands.  Their experiences inspired art. The teens explored and learned about the islands’ histories and natural environment. 56 paintings line the hallway, showcasing the students’ interpretation of Boston's waterfront and islands. The artwork from Artists for Humanity is accompanied by the work of other artists from the Veronica B. Smith Senior Center in Allston.  The Senior Center supports and encourages, regardless of abilities.  Some artists are overcoming physical disabilities while others are very accomplished. Make the time to see the beautiful work by Boston’s teens and seniors.   [gallery ids="9759,9758,9757,9755,9754,9752" orderby="rand"]
