An Art Take Over: Downtown Crossing Storefront

The storefront of 395 Washington Street has been transformed.  Thank you, staff and interns of the BRA Planning Division's for your hard, fast work.  Check it out! From a vacant storefront...           on route...           ...to a Mondrian-inspired canvas.  The storefront can't help but catch your eye.             The 395 Washington Street project is part of the Boston Art Windows initiative focused on bringing vitality and life to commercial spaces in Downtown Crossing.   • 74 new businesses have opened since 2008 creating $42.6 million in investment, 1,264 new jobs, and occupying 230,000 SF.
  • Hayward Place and The Kensington are the two most recent residential buildings to break ground creating 637 residential units.
