Odd Pairings Spark Big Thinking

Sep 24, 2010

One of Boston’s strengths is the fact that this is a place with several strong sectors. We especially love to see interaction among leading thinkers and doers who have widely divergent perspectives. We find that this is how big ideas are born – and that’s one of the keys to this city’s unparalleled track record of innovation.

Boston World Partnerships, funded in part by the BRA, is built on this idea. Their Connector network cuts across industries and countries of origin like no other group in the region, and their events are deliberately structured to encourage cross-sector idea-sharing that challenges old assumptions and sparks fresh thinking. Their next big event, called The Odd Pairing Experiment, brings together the following big-time panelists from healthcare, consumer goods, the visual arts, marketing, and venture capital to dig into the subject of how organizations tell their stories – and how that is evolving in today’s media landscape. The discussion involves the audience and is followed by 2 hours of the best networking we know of.
