Description: Staff of the City of Boston Planning Department will be hosting a virtual information session for the public to learn about the Draft Clean Energy Infrastructure Zoning and Permit Reform initiative.*In order to comply with the 2024 Climate Act, the new state regulation 225 CMR 29.00, and get on a path to reaching our regional climate resilience goals, the State of Massachusetts is requiring cities and towns to adopt zoning and reform the permitting process for Small Clean Energy Infrastructure by October 1, 2026. This kind of infrastructure can include things like solar and wind energy facilities.*Please join us to learn more about why the City is drafting new zoning, what is required of us by the state, and what the zoning will apply to.
