The project has used the LEED v4 Multifamily Midrise rating system and would earn 73.5 points for LEED Gold, will be all an electric building, includes installation of a 90kW solar PV system, and has a modeled 2035 Carbon Emission Intensity (2035 pCEI) of 1.04kg CO2e / sf-yr and, with the solar PV system, a modeled 2035 pCEI of 0.8 kg CO2e / sf-yr. Energy efficiency strategies include passive house enclosure, high efficiency ERVs paired with air source heat pumps take advantage of existing energy in the air to control interior air and domestic water temperatures contribute to 75% reduction in energy use from code baseline. Habitable landscaped garage roof mitigates heat island effect, producing an oasis of cooled area on a southern exposure.
