BPDA to hold virtual public hearing at June Board Meeting on Thursday, June 11
The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) will hold its June Board Meeting virtually on Thursday, June 11, 2020 to ensure the safety of the public, staff members, and BPDA Board Members during the COVID-19 public health emergency. The agenda for the meeting is available below. The items on the agenda do not require or have completed their public process prior to the suspension of in-person public meetings in March.
The BPDA will hold a public hearing to consider an amendment to the Tufts University Institutional Master Plan (IMP), and a four year renewal of the IMP. The proposed amendment will add two buildings to the IMP as leased space - 230 The Fenway in the Fenway neighborhood, and 160 St. Alphonsus Street in Mission Hill; the properties currently function as the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. A public process for the IMP amendment and renewal was completed earlier this year.
The June Board meeting will be hosted through GoToWebinar and members of the public interested in participating in the public hearing may do so by registering at bit.ly/37icwmY. The public hearing will begin at 5:30 PM, but we encourage participants to log-in early to troubleshoot the platform. For those who would like to view the Board Meeting but not participate, the meeting will be televised on Boston City TV (Xfinity Channel 24, RCN Channel 13, and Verizon Fios Channel 1962) and live streamed on boston.gov.
To ensure the public process is inclusive, the agency will also accept written testimony for the public hearing via email at email@example.com. Testimony should be submitted by Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 3:30 PM, and will be read aloud during the public hearing portion of the Board Meeting.
