Project Description
Stanhope Hotel Holdings, LLC (the "Proponent") filed a Notice of Project Change ("NPC") with the Boston Planning and Development Agency (the "BPDA") on December 27, 2023. The Proponent requests to slightly increase the floor area within the Project building without altering its exterior dimensions. The proposed change would allow the Proponent to optimize the hotel program while keeping the building's height, width, depth, and overall massing the same. In total, the proponent proposes to add approximately 10,000 square feet of internal space. The Proponent filed a Letter of Intent ("LOI") with the Boston Planning & Development Agency ("BPDA") on September 11, 2019, and subsequently a Project Notification Form (PNF) on April 6, 2022, for the proposed redevelopment of the approximately 7,110-square foot-property at 39 Stanhope Street in the Back Bay neighborhood of Boston. The Proponent proposes the construction of a new, approximately 124,400-square-foot, 300-key hotel with associated support areas.
