Redesigned Website Launching This Fall

Aug 02, 2013

The Boston Redevelopment Authority is in the final stages of redesigning and updating its website.  Launching this fall, the new site will feature an engaging contemporary design and user-friendly navigation to give constituents quick access to a variety of documents and interactive elements. Thanks to the redesign, more public documents will be accessible online, offering visitors easy navigation to BRA Board agendas and videos, zoning maps, Article 80 filings, planning documents, and research reports. In addition, archived paper documents are being scanned and uploaded. All of these efforts will make the BRA even more accessible and transparent. The new website will also feature several interactive components. Users will be able to submit comments on planning initiatives and proposed projects, track the status of planning initiatives and proposed projects, and purchase maps, RFPs, RFQs, and BIDs. Charlestown-based Boston Interactive was chosen for the website redesign following an RFP process. Boston Interactive is taking a user centered design approach receiving critical design feedback by engaging with constituents who will be using the new site.
