Description:

The BPDA is hosting a virtual Public Meeting for the proposed 85 Devonshire Street project located in the Downtown neighborhood of Boston (the "Project"). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Small Project Review Application ("SPRA") that was filed and its potential impacts. Additionally, the Project is currently under review for a contract for Payment in Lieu of Taxes ("Pilot"), which will provide the project a tax abatement under MA General Law Chapter 121B. The meeting will include a presentation followed by questions and comments from the public.

The project proposes the conversion of 3 adjoining buildings from business use to residential units at 85 Devonshire Street, 258 Washington Street, and 262 Washington Street. It will provide 95 rental units and amenities, totaling approximately 86,700 SF. Approximately 15,798 SF of retail will remain on the first floor and mezzanine levels. The unit mix will be comprised of 29 studio units, 54 one-bedroom units, and 12 two-bedroom units.
