The 2025 Main Street profiles were developed by the Research Division to provide a brief overview Boston's Main Streets' demographics, economy (including consumer spending, businesses, jobs, and real estate), land use, mobility, and past trends. These reports use diverse data sources, including the Division's population estimates, U.S. Census LODES employment data, Mastercard spending data, Assessing Department land use data, CoStar Real Estate data, Research Division Business Database data, Citydata mobility data, and MBTA ridership data.
