Greening America's Capitals is a federal project of the Partnership for Sustainable Communities between the EPA, HUD, and DOT to help state capitals develop an implementable vision of distinctive, environmentally-friendly neighborhoods that incorporate innovative green building and green infrastructure strategies. The EPA provided design assistance through the Greening America's Capitals program to help Boston consider the various ways to incorporate sustainable design strategies into our planning and program goals for City Hall and City Hall Plaza. Boston was one of the first five state capitals to receive this assistance in the Fall of 2010. The process concluded in the Winter of 2010.
