*This project is located in Dorchester but is included in Mattapan Zoning. On January 14, 2021, the BPDA Board approved the construction of a new, five (5)-story residential building containing 23 rental units for permanent supportive housing for Heading Home. Heading Home serves nearly 1,500 homeless and formerly homeless people in the greater Boston area, spanning from infancy to elderly, with a majority of its population being young single, mothers with 1-2 young children. The Proponent submitted a Small Project Change to the BPDA on July 9, 2021 proposing a reduction in rental units from 23 to 20 and a height reduction from 5 stories to 4 stories.
