Simmons University, located in Boston's Fenway neighborhood, offers more than 40 undergraduate majors and programs for women, as well as graduate programs for men and women.
Simmons enrolls approximately 4,800 full-time and part-time students, including both graduate and undergraduate students. The College of Arts and Sciences combines liberal arts, sciences and professional studies for its undergraduate students. There are five graduate schools including the School of Social Work, School of Management, School of Nursing and Health Sciences, School of Library and Information Science and College of Arts and Sciences Graduate Studies.
Simmons prepared an Institutional Master Plan in 2000 which presented information on the existing campus and discussed the mission, goals and long-range plans of the College. Since approval of the 2000 IMP, Simmons has filed IMP Amendments for the Library Replacement Project, the School of Management and Quad Project and the Fens Dining Renovation and Expansion Project. Simmons was most recently approved for IMP Renewal in 2015. Simmons did not propose any new projects with this Renewal. In May 2019, Simmons initiated review of a new, ten-year Institutional Master Plan including several proposed development projects. Please see the project page for more information on this review.
