BRA Website Nominated for Columbia University Libraries Archival Program
Jun 26, 2014
The BRA's website, www.bostonredevelopmentauthority.org, has been selected for inclusion in Columbia University Libraries' Collaborative Architecture, Urbanism, and Sustainability Web Archive (CAUSEWAY).
CAUSEWAY is a new initiative which will preserve websites devoted to the related topics of architecture, urban fabric, community development activism, public space, and sustainability. The goal of the project is to guarantee continuing availability of the important, but sometimes temporary, documents hosted on these websites for researchers and scholars. Librarians at Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Johns Hopkins, Harvard, Princeton, and Yale Universities are collaborating on this project.
The BRA is one of 135 organizations which have been nominated so far for the intiative. The first archived websites should become available this summer via the
CAUSEWAY digital archive website.
