Envoy Hotel Groundbreaking

Oct 25, 2013

Today Mayor Thomas M. Menino celebrated groundbreaking on the Envoy Hotel, a 136 room hotel at 70 Sleeper Street. The hotel is being developed by Norwich Partners and is part of the Autograph Collection by Marriott. The 6-story building is projected to open in spring 2015 and will include 4,000 SF of ground floor restaurant space.

The Envoy Hotel project also includes the creation of a new section of Harborwalk on Old Sleeper Street that will connect the Fort Point Harborwalk to the Harborwalk in front of Moakley Courthouse. The pedestrian walkway will feature new plantings, lighting, and benches, and also be an attractive connection to the Old Northern Avenue Bridge and the Financial District. The project will also give guests easy access to water transportation as it expands in the city.

The Enovy Hotel will feature artwork by the Fort Points Art Community (FPAC).
