This is a virtual Public Meeting for the proposed 275 E Cottage Street project located in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Small Project Review Application that was filed and its potential impacts. The meeting will include a presentation by the developer followed by questions and comments from the public.
The project site consists of approximately 12,536 square feet across three contiguous parcels at 269 and 275 East Cottage Street in the Columbia/Savin Hill section of Dorchester. Existing conditions include a 1,762-square-foot single-family dwelling and a 6,500-square-foot former commercial/social club known as “Little House.” The site abuts the proponent’s recently completed five-story mixed-use building at 951-959 Dorchester Avenue with 38 housing units and active ground-floor uses. The (“Proposed Project”) would redevelop the underutilized site with a new six-story mixed-use building of approximately 42,029 square feet, connected at the rear, featuring expanded ground-floor restaurant space, a rooftop terrace café, and approximately 42 hotel/extended-stay suites above.
