The Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) is looking to commission a temporary artwork mural in the Mattapan neighborhood. As a part of the PLAN: Mattapan initiative, the PLAN: Mattapan Public Art Project will support the creation of temporary public art in the Mattapan neighborhood.

The BPDA has budgeted $15,000 for the Mattapan Public Art Project for mural installation at 1531 Blue Hill Avenue, Post 16, also known as the Carter Post. This Call is open to all artists, national and international, with a strong preference for artists with a connection to Mattapan.

Join us for any of the two (2) online question and answer sessions on March 15, 2021, the first one from 12:00 to 1:00 PM and the second one from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM EDT. Fill out this form for all general questions. All comments and questions should be submitted by March 19, 2021. Both sessions will be recorded and posted at bit.ly/PlanMattapan. Responses to questions including the video of the talk session will be distributed and posted by March 26, 2021.
