Description:

The Boston Redevelopment Authority, pursuant to Article 80D, of the Boston Zoning Code, received an Institutional Master Plan Notification Form ('IMPNF") on August 25, 2015 from Boston Children's Hospital. Children's seeks to add one proposed project to the Children's IMP, a proposed Pedestrian Connector linking the Patient and Family Garage to the Main Building over Longwood Avenue. Children's is also seeking a Map Amendment to designate as part of the IMP Area, the land area of Longwood Avenue over which the Pedestrian Connector will be constructed. Children's continues to undertake on-going Campus Improvement and Projects, including the Patient and Family Parking Garage Addition Modification and a Vestibule to be constructed incident to a Main Building Rooftop Garden.

MATEP is seeking BRA approval under Chapter 121A to undertake a series of upgrades in order to expand its capacity, replace existing equipment with new state-of-the-art, more environmentally friendly equipment, and ensure continued service reliability for its LMA institutional customers. The upgrades will be largely internal to the MATEP plant, with some new and replacement rooftop equipment. The proposed installation of a third turbine engine has been previously approved by the BRA in 2001.

This is a joint Task Force and Public Meeting for the IMPNF.
