Alternative Education Initiative (AEI), Community Development Block Grant Public Services (CDBG-PS) & Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Services Public Hearing
In February 2015, the Mayor’s Office of Jobs and Community Services (JCS) intends to release open and competitive Request for Proposals (RFPs) for AEI, CDBG-PS, and WIOA Youth for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2016 (July 1, 2015–June 30, 2016).
Instead of multiple community meetings, as in past years, JCS is holding a single city-wide public hearing in January 2015 to seek input on funding priorities for the three funds. Interested parties are strongly encouraged to attend this hearing. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit feedback and input on the proposed policy principles1 which will guide the programmatic priorities and directions for FY 2016. A public hearing is open to anyone who is interested in shaping the future of AEI, CDBG-PS, and WIOA Youth programs2.
