The American Community Survey (ACS) is an annual survey conducted by the US Census Bureau using a sample of the total population to create estimates. The Research Division created a series of profiles based on neighborhood and planning district boundaries. This report is a profile of Allston.

The Dorchester Avenue Business Analysis Report is a key component of Mayor Thomas M. Menino's Dorchester Avenue Project. The report represents collaboration between the City of Boston and the Dorchester Avenue community and is designed to capture the current business climate of Dorchester Avenue. The intent of the report is to provide baseline information to those interested in business and economic development along Dorchester Avenue.

This publication features selected data collected on all people of each of Boston's neighborhoods, using the 2010 Census data. Information included in the reports are age, race, ethnicity, and housing. This report is a combined file of all the neighborhoods Summary 2010 and was revised to use the boundaries for the West End and Downtown that went into effect in 2014.
