Description
This publication presents the Research Division's estimates along with updated Boston population projections to 2035. The 2020 Census undercounted Boston's population. This undercount and problems estimating Boston college student migration have created Census Bureau estimates that hinder planning until the 2030 Census is released. The Research Division developed alternative 2020 and 2024 population estimates for Boston to address this problem.
