The BPDA is postponing all BPDA-hosted public meetings regarding Article 80 development projects and planning studies until further notice.

While projects will continue to be reviewed internally by BPDA staff, the public review process for both Article 80 development projects and the BPDA's planning studies is on hold until public meetings can be resumed.

Description:

On August 1, 2016, a joint Expanded Environmental Notification Form/Expanded Project Notification Form ("EENF/EPNF") was submitted pursuant to Section 80B-5 of the Code by General Electric to the Boston Redevelopment Authority. The EENF/EPNF describes the construction of the GE Headquarters project (the "Project") in Boston. The Project will include the rehabilitation of two historic brick buildings at 5 and 6 Necco Court (the "Brick Buildings"), the connection of those buildings by a shared lobby, the construction of a new 12-story building that will be connected to the Brick Buildings by a pedestrian bridge and walkway and the construction of public realm buildings, including Harborwalk improvements, green space, interpretive signage, and amenities. On August 10, 2016, GE submitted a Planned Development Area ("PDA") Development Plan and Third Amendment to the 100-Acre Master Plan. These filings, along with all other documents submitted by GE, are available on the BRA website here. The public comment period for the EPNF and PDA Development Plan and Third Amendment ends on September 30, 3016. All comments should be submitted via the website form or to Sonal Gandhi at Sonal.Gandhi@boston.gov.

Additional public meetings will be held on September 7, 2016 at Atlantic Wharf, 280 Congress Street from 6:00 - 7:30 and on September 21, 2016 at a location to be determined from 6:30 - 8:00.
