The Boston Redevelopment Authority and its consultants, Utile, Greenberg Consultants, HR&A Advisors, and Nelson/Nygaard, spent two years on the Greenway District Planning Study, which was completed in the Spring of 2010 and adopted by the BRA Board on July 20, 2010. Seven public meetings were held in City Hall to solicit input from the City's residents on the Guidelines.

Now that the Board has adopted the Guidelines, they will be used as part of the City’s Article 80 Development Review Process. The BRA is currently undergoing a public process to codify the Guidelines into Zoning. Please check www.downtownwaterfrontplanning.org for all current updates.

The Final Guidelines, dated August 2010, their relevant appendices, the district shadow analyses, and the PowerPoint presentations from the public meetings may be found below in the Document Center. For best results, the Guidelines may be viewed on your computer monitor. If you choose to print them, they are optimized for 11 x 17” paper, set in landscape mode.
