Tufts University Health Sciences Campus is located in the Chinatown neighborhood. Approximately 2,090 graduate students pursue studies in medicine, dental medicine, nutrition and biomedical sciences.
In 2009, Tufts opened a new 95,500 SF addition to their School of Dental Medicine building which alleviated overcrowding and provided additional space for outpatient clinical visits, teaching space, research offices and meeting rooms. Most recently, Tufts renewed their IMP which described a proposed open space project, way finding projects and a new campus signage plan.
In March 2020, Tufts filed an IMPNF for Amendment and Renewal of their Institutional Master Plan to include two new leased properties - 160 St Alphonsus STreet (Mission Hill) and 230 Fenway - in their IMP. These two buildings function as the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts and are leased from the Museum of Fine Arts.
