BRA Research Division unveils new web interface

Nov 19, 2015

The Boston Redevelopment Authority’s Research Division introduced a re-organized web interface this week to make it easier for visitors to search for and find research publications on the website. The project was done in collaboration with the BRA’s Management Information Systems team.

The new landing page for the Research Division outlines the group’s role within the BRA and their areas of expertise, which include research on neighborhood and city demographics; industry and employment analysis; economic modeling; and population studies, such as research on foreign born residents of Boston.

A new “Frequently Requested Information” page (as seen below) provides visitors to the site with easy access to the most commonly sought statistics about Boston. This page also allows visitors to subscribe to receive notifications of new Research publications.

The most noteworthy improvement to the site is a new search feature (as seen below) on the “Research Publications” page. The search function allows users to enter key words and query reports based on their relevance to specific topic areas and neighborhoods of Boston.

We hope that you’ll enjoy browsing the new site and exploring all of the research materials that the BRA has to offer. While the site provides visitors with plenty of information at their fingertips, the Research Division also accepts requests for data that may not be posted already.
