2014 Fort Point Watersheet Activation Grant Applications Open

Calling Boston non-profits, educational programs, artists, and creatives! Do you have a vision to activate the Fort Point watersheet this summer?

Applications are are now open for the Fort Point Channel Operation Board's 2014 grant program to activate the Fort Point Channel watersheet, edges and HARBORWALK segments, and adjacent open space for the coming season. 

Projects should should either construct capital improvements within the Fort Point Channel or develop creative water-based programming within and around the edge of the Fort Point Channel. Past winning proposals have included design competitions, art installations, and public boats.


Eligibility 

To be eligible, an organization must be tax-exempt or operate under the fiscal sponsorship of a tax-exempt nonprofit. For profit organizations may be eligible, at the discretion of the Fort Point Channel Operations Board (FPCOB), if the project constitutes a not-for-profit, public, eligible project.

Application Deadline

Applications are due at 5:00 p.m. April 4, 2014.
 

Funding Availability

The FPCOB expects to award up to $50,000 in total funding for 2014 Grant Program.  Applicants can request up to $50,000 in funding. Waterfront activation grant funding is made available by adjacent developers through Chapter 91 Waterways Regulation permits.
