BRA Staff in the Community

This week BRA staff led events in the South End and Downtown Crossing, and presented on the Innovation District. Staff were in the South End on Wednesday offering guidance to members of Washington Gateway Main Street and the South End Business Alliance on storefront and signage principles, financing for businesses,  managing a business in a mixed use neighborhood, and beer, wine and alcohol licensing and permitting. More than 25 business owners attended.  In addition staff, partnering with LINK, an online realtor service for brokers, led a walking tour for 75 residential brokers through Downtown Crossing highlighting housing under construction, recently completed, and new businesses in the district.  Staff also welcomed 40 commercial brokers to City Hall for a presentation on the Innovation  District  and the booming South Boston waterfront.
