BRA Receives Filing for Channel Center

Commonwealth Ventures has filed documents with the BRA for a new office building at One Channel Center in South Boston. Proposed:
  • A LEED certifiable 150 foot tall building totaling 521,000 SF of office space, 4,000 SF of commercial space, and a 970 space parking garage.
  • A new 1.7 acre park, and a smaller new park on Iron Street.
  • Site: Bounded by A Street and Ina Street proposed Medallion Ave.
  • Estimated construction of 24 months, breaking ground in 2012.
  • This proposal is part of a larger phased development project.
