New Balance Files PDA Master Plan

New Balance's proposal presents the construction of its World Headquarters, offices, hotel, sports Complex, retail & restaurants on a 14-acre world headquarters at 38-180 Guest Street and 77 Guest Street in Allston-Brighton.  New Balance’s goal is to transform the existing buildings and surface parking lots into an anchor of renewed activity along the Guest Street corridor, focused on job creation, health and wellness, sporting activities, public open space, and vast improvements to public infrastructure. New Balance’s proposal includes:
  • New Balance World Headquarters
    • 250,000 SF of office space, plus parking, loading docks, restaurant and retail space
    • Proposed Height: less than 130 feet
    • Proposed Location: Eastern portion of the project site
  • Sports complex with 200 meter track and field facility
    • 345,000 SF for basketball, tennis, ice hockey, general recreation, track and field, and a fitness/health and wellness facility
    • Parking, Restaurants, and Retail Shops
    • Proposed Height: Less than 95 feet
    • Proposed Location: Southern side of Guest Street
  • Hotel
    • 140,000 SF for 175 keys, plus parking, restaurant and retail space
    • Proposed Height: Less than 205 feet
    • Proposed Location: Adjacent to the World Headquarters
  • Creation of up to 650,000 SF of office space, plus parking, restaurant space, and retail and service space.
