The proposal calls for the renovation of a 5-story warehouse to include ground floor retail and 44-units of upper floor housing, including 28 workforce units at accessible rent price points and 16 short term rental units for use as short-term employee residences supporting area businesses. Click here for other East Boston planning studies and developments Hyde Park Advisory Group Working Session: Rezoning Tuesday, September 27, 2011, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm E-18 Police Station basement, 1249 Hyde Park Avenue The Hyde Park Advisory Group will hold its first meeting to discuss rezoning the neighborhood. The meeting comes on the heels of a two year neighborhood planning study with the Hyde Park Advisory Group that laid out how the neighborhood envisioned the future of Hyde Park. The Hyde Park Neighborhood Strategic Plan was adopted by the BRA Board in August and it will inform the upcoming zoning discussions. BRA Planners will present a working draft of the proposed zoning article and map at Tuesday’s meeting. Click here for other Dorchester planning studies and developments Copley Place Expansion Public Meeting Thursday, September 29, 2011, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Boston Public Library, 700 Boylston Street, The Boston Room Boston Redevelopment Authority representatives will solicit community input and comments on the proposed Copley Place Expansion. The official comment period on the project ends on Monday, October 31. Farming Proposals for City Properties in Dorchester Community Meeting Thursday, September 29, 2011, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Erie Ellington Community Center, 31 Erie Street, Dorchester As part of an ongoing effort to increase access to affordable, fresh food in Boston, the Mayor's Office, BRA, and Department of Neighborhood Development (DND) are working to promote the farming of fresh fruits and vegetables on City properties in Dorchester. DND solicited proposals in July and received proposals through August 15.  The proposals for 131 Glenway Street will be presented at this community meeting.  A part of this pilot project will also involve establishing a new Urban Agriculture Overlay District to allow the cultivation of fruits and vegetables on these properties.
