The Quincy Corridor Public Realm Improvement Project is a six to eight month community process led by the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA), in conjunction with the Department of Neighborhood (DND), Boston Transportation Department (BTD), the Public Works Department (PWD) and Mayor’s Office of Neighborhood Services (ONS). The goal of the effort, working collaboratively with community stakeholders, is to enhance the quality of life along Quincy Street by improving roadways, sidewalks, trees, and lighting. The project area will encompass Quincy Street (located in the Roxbury and Dorchester neighborhoods) from Columbia Road to Blue Hill Avenue. The initiative is part of the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative and coordinated with the ongoing planning efforts of Mayor Menino’s Fairmount Indigo Planning Initiative (FIPI). For information on related initiatives, please visit the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative  and the Fairmount Indigo Planning Initiative.
