Description

The 1991 "Boston 2000 Plan" (and Article 49 in the Boston Zoning Code) forms the master plan and regulatory context for the 27 acres revealed by the depression of the elevated Central Artery. The Plan set forth a vision of this corridor as a major new public environment that would continue the transformation of Boston’s Downtown. The Plan also established the corridor's roadway configuration, the goals for each neighborhood segment, and the uses and design guidelines for each parcel.
