The Boston Redevelopment Authority (“BRA”) d/b/a the Boston Planning & Development Agency (“BPDA”), herein after the “Owner” is requesting proposals, (hereinafter “Proposal(s)” and/or “RFP(s)”) for two (2) separate and independent licenses for the following programs: (1) Downtown Waterfront Food Vendor Kiosk Program; and (2) Downtown Waterfront Trolley Vendor Kiosk Program (hereinafter, each a “Program”). A license agreement for the Food Vendor Kiosk Program will begin May 1, 2018, and run through October 31, 2018. A license agreement for the Trolley Vendor Kiosk Program will begin May 1, 2018 and run through April 30, 2019. The selected vendor(s) for each respective Program will enter into a license agreement with the start and end dates indicated above, with two (2) optional one (1) season or one (1) year extension for 2019 and 2020, respectively, at the discretion of the BPDA and Owner.
The first Proposal is to operate and implement a Downtown Waterfront Food Vendor Kiosk Program at Long and Commercial Wharves in the downtown waterfront urban renewal area in the City of Boston for the 2018 season.
The second Proposal is to participate in the Downtown Waterfront Trolley Vendor Kiosk Program at Long and Commercial Wharves in the downtown waterfront urban renewal area in the City of Boston. Due to market size and location limitations, the BPDA will allow up to three (3) trolley operators to participate in the Program for 2018.
