prepare transportation network analysis and design modifications for Thomson Place and the surrounding network between Congress Street and Seaport Boulevard in the Fort Point/Seaport neighborhood of Boston. While this contract will be with the BPDA, this effort will be co-managed/directed by the Boston Transportation Department (“BTD”). This work will determine the traffic network/signal improvements needed for the long anticipated connection of Thomson Place with Seaport Boulevard. The Fort Point and Seaport neighborhoods host both regional and local transportation infrastructure with transportation systems that experience high levels of demand due to recent planned robust growth. Connecting Thomson Place (which is a “private way open to public travel”) to Seaport Boulevard has historically been a relied upon connection for the completed Fort Point/Seaport transportation network.
