Invitation for Bid on Construction Project:
Repairs to Existing Garage & Environmental Remediation (BPDA Project #1303) located at 12 Drydock Avenue and 339 Northern Avenue Boston, MA 02210
The Economic Development & Industrial Corporation (EDIC) d/b/a Boston Planning & Development Agency (“BPDA”), the “Owner” invites sealed competitive bids for the titled project “Repairs to Existing Garage & Environmental Remediation (BPDA Project #1303)”. Bids shall 1) be on bid forms supplied by the Owner, 2) clearly identified as a bid 3) contain the required bid deposit and certifications and 4) be signed by the bidder. All bids for this project are subject to all applicable provisions of law, including without limitation, Sections 39F, and 39K through 39P of Chapter 30 and Chapter 149 Sections 29 and 44A-44J, inclusive of the Massachusetts General Laws, as amended, and shall be in accordance with the terms and provisions of the bid documents. The BPDA will award the resulting contract to the lowest eligible and responsible bidder
Scope-of-Work: Parking Garage Repairs for the 5 level, 1766 parking space garage generally consists of replacement of metal pan stairs with precast stairs, replacement of joint sealants, minor structural and concrete repairs, replacement of drain bodies and drain leaders, improvements to the fire-protection system, reapplication of coatings and pavement repairs.
Environmental Remediation work generally consists of removal and disposal of PCB and petroleum impacted soils, slab excavation, abatement and disassembling of a smokestack.
