The Boston Redevelopment Authority (“BRA”), d/b/a the Boston Planning & Development Agency (“BPDA”), is soliciting responses to a Request for Proposals (“RFP”) for the redevelopment of Parcel 4 in the South End Urban Renewal Area, Project No. Mass. R-56, a vacant parcel of land having an address of 142 Shawmut Avenue in the South End neighborhood of Boston (the “Parcel”). The Parcel is approximately 8,543 square feet. This RFP offers proponents an opportunity to submit proposals to redevelop the Parcel for the creation of a permanent open and green space, open to the public and walkable as opposed to vehicular in nature, with the intent of benefitting a future east/west pedestrian connection to Washington Street. This RFP is made available to all interested parties who have the ability to undertake redevelopment of the Parcel and complete it without undue delay.
