The Boston Redevelopment Authority d/b/a Boston Planning & Development Agency (hereinafter, the “BRA”) is issuing an Invitation for Bids (“IFB”) entitled Electric Repair and Maintenance of Properties Owned by the Boston Redevelopment Authority in accordance with Massachusetts General Law c. 30, § 39M, as may be amended, for electrical repair and maintenance of properties owned by the Boston Redevelopment Authority located city-wide, including the Charlestown Navy Yard, Long Wharf, Sargent’s Wharf and various parcels/lots throughout the City of Boston (“City”). The lowest responsible and eligible bidder will enter into a one (1) year contract (the “Initial Term”) with the BRA, with the BRA holding two (2) one (1) year options that may be exercised at the BRA’s sole discretion. The work generally consists of: the repair, inspection, test, service and preventative maintenance for electrical services serving multiple BRA-owned properties located in the City. The vast majority of the work required will be replacement of light bulbs. Occasional work may involve the removal and installation of light poles when necessary. Other electrical troubleshooting may be required on occasion.
