Fields Corner Squares + Streets planning team, in partnership with the Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion, hosted a small business workshop on August 12th, 2024 at the Fields Corner Business Lab. The team gathered a diverse group of 11 participants, many of whom work in or own a business in the Fields Corner planning study area. The group, in turn, had a robust discussion about what changes might benefit the business ecosystem and layout in Fields Corner. This included a desire for public realm and urban design improvements, such as more greenery and places to sit and rest. The group also discussed the need local artists in the neighborhood have for affordable housing and workspace. Finally, the group highlighted that there might be an opportunity for more dense housing close to the intersection of Dorchester Avenue and Park Street.
