We held our Squares + Streets Fields Corner Launch event virtually on May 14, 2024 and in-person at VietAID on May 18, 2024. There were about 30 participants who joined virtually and 25 in-person. The events were an open house style where residents and advocates shared stories about their lived experiences, as well as their thoughts on the Squares + Streets process through activities and this short survey which is a great way to share your priorities (bit.ly/fields-corner-survey). During the launches, we had various activities, including “Chat with a Planner,” “Community Mapping,” and “Graphic Facilitation.” Each activity covered various parts of the planning and zoning process and allowed residents to record their thoughts.
