Description:

Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Boston Planning & Development Agency (BPDA) has postponed all in-person BPDA-held public meetings regarding Article 80 development projects and planning initiatives. View more information on the BPDA's COVID-19 response.

This meeting will serve as an opportunity for review of the proposed 3371 Washington Street development as part of the Article 80 Small Project Review process.

The proposed project will be developed by a joint venture between New Atlantic Development LLC and Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation and consists of the redevelopment of the parcels of land located at 3359-3365 Rear and 3371-3375 Washington Street, a 10,927 square foot site located near the intersection of Washington Street and Green Street in Jamaica Plain. The redevelopment will include the demolition of an existing non-historic industrial structure and revitalizing the site with the proposed construction of a five-story, 36,834 square foot supported affordable senior housing development. The proposed development will include 38 units of much needed housing for low-income and extremely low-income seniors as well as an 800 square foot restaurant space dedicated for the El Embajador Restaurant, which is a current tenant on the site.
